"We Will Recover," Says Obama. "No We Won't," Says Celente; Government Policies Doomed to Fail

KINGSTON, NY, 27, February 2009 -- The wealth of plain, hard facts upon which The Trends Research Institute's forecasts are based belie the lofty promises made by President Obama's first address to Congress.

"We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before," said President Obama.

Said Celente, "The government has yet to fix the levees in New Orleans. There is still a hole in the ground where the World Trade Center once stood. Washington has started two wars it can't win and doesn't know how to finish. The massive bank, brokerage, auto and insurance company bailouts have done nothing to resuscitate the sinking economy. The Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) that candidate Obama championed has not "relieved." President Obama's $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will not lead to recovery and the nation will not 'emerge stronger than before,'" Celente continued.

Distinguished Men and Women
With only a succession of past Executive and Congressional failures to point to, and with the same people responsible for those failures still holding high office, the belief that this time around it will be miraculously different is nothing less than willful delusion.

Jury Nullification Legislation Introduced in Alaska!

The state of Alaska may be the first state to finally undo the complete and utter defiance of the courts, especially the federal courts, to the right of Due Process and a TRUE trial by jury. VIEW HOUSE BILL NO. 140

Many people’s first reaction to the concept of jury nullification is that criminals will be set free. While this is an understandable concern, it ignores the fact that under our legal system, the defendant is afforded the right to be tried according to ‘due process’ if brought before the law, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Furthermore, justice – not punishment is - the ultimate goal of our legal system. Jury nullification recognizes that statutes cannot be crafted to address every conceivable situation, so a jury of one’s piers must be the final arbiters of the application of the law as well as the facts of the case.

Why is this so important?

Jury Duty and the history of jury duty used to be taught in elementary school history. Children used to learn about the Magna Carta ( THE GREAT CHARTER) as well as the story of William Pen's famous trial by jury. I didn't realize that back when I was a child in grade school in the '50s, public schools had already dropped this education. I was fortunate to have attended a private school that still taught this very important civic education.

William Pen
Despite heavy pressure from the Lord Mayor to convict Penn, the jury returned a verdict of "not guilty". When invited by the judge to reconsider their verdict and to select a new foreman, they refused and were sent to a cell over several nights to mull over their decision. The Lord Mayor then told the jury, "You shall go together and bring in another verdict, or you shall starve", and not only had Penn sent to jail in loathsome Newgate Prison (on a charge of contempt of court), but the full jury followed him, and they were additionally fined the equivalent of a year’s wages each.[53][54] The members of the jury, fighting their case from prison, managed to win the right for all English juries to be free from the control of judges.[55] This case was one of the more important trials that shaped the future concept of American freedom (see jury nullification) and was a victory for the use of the writ of habeas corpus as a means of freeing those unlawfully detained.

Without this education, we have what can only be described as INJUSTICE in our courts today. Because of legal precedence set by Federal Court Appellate rulings, we now have the standardized

Criminal Pattern Jury Instructions.

The jurors have the power to ignore the court's instructions and bring in a not guilty verdict contrary to the law and the facts. Horning v. District of Columbia, 254 U.S. 135, 138, 41 S.Ct. 53, 54, 65 L.Ed. 185 (1920).

But they should not be told by the court that they have this power. United States v. Krzyske, 836 F.2d 1013, 1021 (6th Cir.), cert. denied, 488 U.S. 832, 109 S.Ct. 89, 102 L.Ed.2d 65 (1988); United States v. Avery, 717 F.2d 1020, 1027 (6th Cir.1983), cert. denied, 466 U.S. 905, 104 S.Ct. 1683, 80 L.Ed.2d 157 (1984); United States v. Burkhart, 501 F.2d 993, 996-997 (6th Cir.1974), cert. denied, 420 U.S. 946, 95 S.Ct. 1326, 43 L.Ed.2d 424 (1975).

They should instead be told that it is their duty to accept and apply the law as given to them by the court. United States v. Avery, supra at 1027.

Did you catch that? The courts know that we, as a self governing people, not only have retained the right to determine the facts involved but we also have retained the right to judge the law as well.

We, as a jury, are the checks and balance to keep our elected employees in line. It isn't enough to just be involved in the political process, although, I highly encourage it.

We aren't going to vote our way out of this mess we find ourselves in. Just take a look at how our prison population has exploded over the last decade. Then do a little research into your state Prison Industries and UNICOR Prison Industries.

Why are we sending our children to prison for possession of drugs when the same lawmakers who criminalize this behavior refuse to stop the flow of drugs into this country. Just ask any boarder patrol agent, like the two who were sent to prison for stopping a drug dealer. Ask anyone who lives along our southern boarder.

When the government own's and operates a for profit business of manufacturing and services, they need employees. When the same government can project growth and profit, they must be assured that the required number of convictions take place or they won't be able to meet their projected growth. Think about that for a minute. In order for a company to grow, it must also employ more people to produce the product.

We MUST make an issue of the income tax's burden on working American families and the benefits of doing it in and there is no better opportunity to do that than right now when they are gorging themselves on our money while the Rome burns and our economy melts down.

Please go to this link and read this article "Instead of bailouts, suspend income tax".

Then go to Truth Attack and go to "Send This To Your Editor". Cut and paste the letter, put your name under it (Tom has never copyrighted anything he has written for the movement) and send it to every newspaper, TV station and radio station in your area.

If we all do something, we will all accomplish something

Do it today before there is nothing left to argue about or fight for.

MAGNA CARTA Article 61.

61. Since, moreover, we have conceded all the above things (from reverence) for God, for the reform of our kingdom and the better quieting of the discord that has sprung up between us and our barons, and since we wish these things to flourish unimpaired and unshaken for ever, we constitute and concede to them the following guarantee:- namely, that the barons shall choose any twenty-five barons of the kingdom they wish, who with all their might are to observe, maintain and secure the observance of the peace and rights which we have conceded and confirmed to them by this present charter of ours; in this manner, that if we or our chief Justiciar or our bailiffs or any of our servants in any way do wrong to anyone, or transgress any of the articles of peace or security, and the wrong doing has been demonstrated to four of the aforesaid twenty-five barons, those four barons shall come to us or our chief Justiciar, (if we are out of the kingdom), and laying before us the grievance, shall ask that we will have it redressed without delay. And if we, or our chief Justiciar (should we be out of the kingdom) do not redress the grievance within forty days of the time when it was brought to the notice of us or our chief Justiciar (should we be out of the kingdom), the aforesaid four barons shall refer the case to the rest of the twenty-five barons and those twenty-five barons with the whole community of the land shall distrain and distress us in every way they can, namely by taking of castles, estates and possessions, and in such other ways as they can, excepting (attack on) our person and those of our queen and of our children until, in their judgment, satisfaction has been secured; and when satisfaction has been secured let them behave towards us as they did before. And let anyone in the country who wishes to do so take an oath to obey the orders of the said twenty-five barons in the execution of all the aforesaid matters and with them to oppress us to the best of his ability, and we publicly and freely give permission for the taking the oath to anyone who wishes to take it, and we will never prohibit anyone from taking it.

Paul: Constitution requires coin based on gold, silver

In just recent weeks, the federal government has designated billions of tax dollars for bank bailouts, including vast quantities to quasi-government agencies that helped create the economic crisis; billions more for automakers, and billions more for homeowners who default on their loans, so where will it end? Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas says he has at least part of the answer: abolish the Federal Reserve.

The congressman, a candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, once again has introduced a bill that would get rid of the private organization that sets interest rates and establishes monetary priorities. FULL STORY.

The Petition for Redress Regarding

The U.S. Government has abandoned the Rule of Law as defined by the People via the Constitution.

The numerous crises currently confronting our Republic are not the result of poor political policies. These evils are the direct result of decades of violations of the U.S. Constitution by our servant Government.

Magna Carta Man

Common Law, UK News

“Magna Carta is such a fellow, he will have no sovereign.”
- - Sir Edward Coke

John Harris read the Magna Carta and saw that it was good. So good in fact that he decided to make honest use of it. Particularly article 61.

Article 61 is the longest and most powerful of the clauses within Magna Carta of 1215. It proved so unpalatable to subsequent monarchs that when Magna Carta was craftily re-draughted in 1297, article 61 was not to be found.

But one man’s unpalatable article is another man’s invite to freedom. Enter John Harris, Public Defender and committed common law practitioner. Making use of Article 61, his recent visit to Buckingham Palace began his process of filing for redress of grievances. Here is his report and affidavit.

On the 22nd day of March 2008 I personally went to Buckingham Palace to serve an Affidavit on Her Majesty the Queen. My Oath, (which has been signed and sealed by a solicitor) states quite clearly, that I now give Her Majesty 40 days to dismiss the traitors that reside in the Parliament of this country. Censorship query uncovers pro-'gay' activist

Spokesman worked at station that silenced Christian program
By Drew Zahn
© 2009 WorldNetDaily

A Michigan television station agreed to broadcast a Christian documentary critical of the "gay rights" movement, but later backed out – and now a family values organization is questioning whether the station's about-face was influenced by a former newsroom executive who is a homosexual activist.

As WND reported, WOOD-TV of Grand Rapids, Mich., originally agreed to air the hour-long paid program "Speechless: Silencing Christians," a documentary seeking to expose the agenda of homosexual activists and their impact on families and freedom of religion. The station later canceled the agreement shortly after the Human Rights Campaign, a pro-homosexual organization, issued a national alert against the film urging people to call for its cancellation.

The American Family Association of Michigan, however, has now learned that Trevor Thomas, the deputy communications director for the HRC in Washington, D.C., once worked in WOOD-TV's newsroom. FULL STORY.

In response to the comment left by Elizabeth Massie:

Elizabeth Massie has left a new comment on your post "“Speechless: Silencing Christians”":

I'm glad they pulled the show. It promotes outright lies about LGBT equality. For example, it claims that hate crime laws will "do away with our freedom of speech," when the proposed federal hate crimes law explicitly states that it only applies to violent acts, not speech. Thanks to the stations for taking a stand and refusing to show this.

Elizabeth Massie has left a new comment on your post "“Speechless: Silencing Christians”":

I forgot to mention that I am a mother and grandmother, too.

First, I don't believe that this is your real name or that you are a mother or grandmother. I do however believe that you are a member of the GAY community who want's everyone to believe that for some reason it's more of a crime to harm a GAY person than it is to harm anyone else.

Here's a good comparison. We have many men who pursue sex with boys. Now it would be safe to say here that these are GAY men who desire underage children rather then sex with another man. Elizabeth logic is that more harm is done to a GAY adult under this Hate Crimes legislation than to an innocent child who is violated by them.

We have penalty laws for when one person harms another person already in place. The Constitution protects that GOD GIVEN RIGHT of EQUALITY. This Hate Crime Legislation is therefore UnConstitutional.

Jailed Browns remain defiant

New Hampshire Union Leader Staff

CONCORD – Unbowed after 16 months in prison, tax evaders Edward L. and Elaine A. Brown returned to federal court yesterday to face new, more serious charges stemming from their 10-month armed standoff with federal agent

"I thought ... today was here to release us. Now it's going 180 degrees in the other direction," a mustached and slightly balding Edward Brown said. He spent much of the 20-minute hearing disputing the legitimacy of the legal process which he said forced him to walk out of his 2007 trial.

"That's why this was a scam, sham, kangaroo court and should have been a mistrial from day one," Brown said.

"I went home in defense of my freedom, my property, my home and my wife," he added. FULL STORY.

Anti-Porkulus Protest in Seattle

By Byron Dazey
In the fine tradition of dissent that we have been told for eight years is so patriotic, blogger Liberty Belle organized an anti-Porkulus protest in the heart of liberal Seattle. She’s not under any illusions that it will prevent Obama from signing the bill, but it is important that conservatives do some organizing in their community and push back against this and the other spending bills that are sure to follow. And it’s not just conservatives. Liberty Belle started off by emphasizing that this is an issue for everyone regardless of party. Last time I checked we are all stuck with the same economy regardless of political affiliation.

David Beito has brought to light a remarkable and previously unknown chapter of the Great Depression: its tax revolts. They were widespread and systematic, and they made such huge progress in some places that they threatened to bring local and state government to its knees.

Here we have an aggressive resistance to the New Deal, the form of some 1500 anti-tax movements in the United States that formed to resist FDR's looting. It's no wonder historians before Beito completely ignored this great movement.

Beito explores their driving force, the leadership, the ideological basis, their progress and their dealings with the press. He shows how they worked the system to curb tax increases and roll back the taxes in place. ORDER HERE.

Jim Rogers advises Gulf states to get rid of dollar peg

Source: BI-ME and Bloomberg , Author: BI-ME staff
Posted: 17-02-2009

UAE. The Gulf countries' currency peg to the dollar is a 'terrible mistake' and will cause problems for the region as the US currency is expected to decline, Jim Rogers said.

The six Gulf Cooperation Council states should form a joint currency as soon as possible, the chairman of Singapore-based Rogers Holdings said at a conference in Dubai Monday.

The new currency shouldn’t be linked to any other as the region has enough foreign reserves and oil to back it up.

“You’ve got good foreign exchange reserves and a lot of oil” to back a common currency, Rogers said during a banking conference in Dubai.

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Oman agreed in 2001 to form a European Union-style monetary union by 2010 to boost regional trade. Oman later pulled out.

Kuwait is the only Gulf Arab state to have dropped its currency peg to the dollar, giving it some control over monetary policy. FULL STORY.

"Money Falls From Sky In D.C."

Yesterday, my husband and I went to a local home grown restaurant for breakfast. This is they type of place where the owner is behind the counter to great you when you walk in the door and thank you when you leave.

While we were waiting to be seated, I told him I wouldn't be me if I didn't have something to give him. I handed him this new flier, "Money Falls From Sky In D.C." One look at the cover and he asked if he could keep it to read later because he needed to learn more about these bailouts and stimulus spending going on.

In between customers, the owner keep looking at the flier. When we were ready to leave, I told him that if he would like I could bring in a stack of fliers to hand out to his customers.

What was his reply?

Yes, everyone needs to read this and understand what's going on.

High Noon: Geithner v. the American Oligarchs

Bill Moyers: Welcome to the Journal.

"There comes a time in every economic crisis, or more specifically, in every struggle to recover from a crisis, when someone steps up to the podium to promise the policies that - they say - will deliver you back to growth. The person has political support, a strong track record, and every incentive to enter the history books. But one nagging question remains. Can this person, your new economic strategist, really break with the vested elites that got you into this much trouble?"

De-Clawed Minds

When two weeks ago “Eleison Comments” suggested that any Catholic not believing 9/11 to have been an inside job might be suffering from a “de-clawed Catholicism”, one reader (at least one – probably there were many more) protested vigorously. Undoubtedly he wondered how on earth such a question as what brought down the Twin Towers in New York, or slammed into the Pentagon seven years ago, can possibly bear on his religion.

Firstly, how can a Catholic have so little sense of truth that he can still trust today’s media or politicians? (Heaven help these both. They are only getting away with what the people let them get away with.) Secondly, how can a Catholic have a general belief in what amounts to the crass atheistic materialism of today’s governments and way of life? Thirdly, how on earth can a Catholic judge questions of fact on emotion instead of evidence? My answer to all three questions is, because his Catholicism will have been de-clawed by the Protestantism, liberalism and modernism which pollute virtually all minds today.

County Sheriff's Have the Ultimate Authority to Stop the New World Order

By Dave Bertrand
February 11

Back in the good old days, the bankers hired the Pinkerton Security Corporation to go-in and take people's land and live stock during the 1800's. The authority Pinkertons needed was from the Sheriff. After paying-off the Sheriff, the representatives of the bank (Pinkertons) would enforce their own laws on the residents in that county.

Today, it's the Federal Government and all their agencies that want to impose federal laws on county residents, (soon) gun confiscation, revenue action, and FEMA emergency intervention with martial law overtones. Your county sheriff has the ultimate authority to stop any and all federal agencies from confiscation, or conducting any federal business in the county at his/her discretion. FULL STORY.

Jury nullification at work in marijuana, gun cases

In Washington, D.C., a jury ignored a military veteran's obvious violation of the city's draconian gun laws, setting him free with only a slap on the wrist. In LaSalle County, Illinois, a medical marijuana user found with 25 pounds of the plant didn't even get the slap; jurors chatted with him after finding him not guilty. While we can't know for sure, in both cases jury nullification was likely at work as regular people serving an important role in courtrooms exercised their power to quash laws they found repugnant. Obama's Wealth Destruction

Daily Article by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. | Posted on 2/9/2009 12:00:00 AM

President Obama is under the impression that history owes him $1 trillion right now to spend on whatever he wants. His language is strident and full of irritation that anyone would question his right to live out his personal dream of being Franklin Roosevelt to George Bush's Hoover. This, he says, is what the election was all about.

The arrogance reminds me of George Bush after 9-11, who similarly believed that history owed him a gargantuan war in the tradition of FDR. And look how that arrogance led to disgrace and loss, as he unwittingly presided over the destruction of American prosperity while searching for bugbears abroad.

You cannot make a country rich by looting taxpayers and paying people to pound nails into siding at public schools! These activities amount to capital consumption. They are not sources of investment. You can say that they are stupid tasks or wonderful tasks, but it is not a matter of ideology as to whether such public projects will make us all wealthier. They will not. They drain the sources of wealth from society. They represent a cost, not a blessing.

That was also true of Bush's dumb stimulus program. He was only bailing out his friends at our expense. The effect was to give a little longer life to institutions that were failing anyway. It's pathetic that the Republicans ever went along with it. You will notice that the scheme didn't actually work.

Well, Obama is doing the same thing, though rewarding a different set of friends. This is not wealth production. This is wealth consumption. Do enough of this nonsense and you can destroy the livelihoods of an entire generation. FULL STORY.

Ron Paul “Can’t Blame Just Democrats - Both Parties Guilty!!!” 2/7/09

by Michael Shanklin

The Senate spending package that was proposed yesterday was backed by both republicans and democrats. Ron Paul discusses how the republicans have also been infiltrated with the Keynesian mindset and how he believes the bill will pass. He also goes on to explain how the Federal Reserve lowering interest rates has created the mess we are in today. In this discussion he brings up inflation and the long-run damage the Federal Reserve System will have on our society.

Peter Schiff sounds off on how the Federal Reserve and Federal government have ruined the economy and now call for more government and inflation to “help” put out the fire! Peter Schiff describes our situation as positively correlated to Zimbabwe’s inflation problem but in a massive economy.

Produce the Note - Fighting Foreclosure - CNN

The video contains some crucial information that could potentially help many homeowners who are in danger of foreclosure, or are already in foreclosure proceedings. This is an often overlooked loophole.

Eventually it will reach someone (hopefully more than one someone) who can benefit from this in potential foreclosure proceedings.

Stimulus Battle May Signal Tough Sell for Bank Rescue (Update1)

Obama will likely need to ask Congress for more money to recapitalize banks, as much as $1 trillion on top of the roughly $300 billion remaining in the current Troubled Asset Relief Program, according to an estimate by former Federal Reserve economist Ward McCarthy. That will be an even tougher sell for the new president than the stimulus plan, which is headed for a Senate vote this week after passing the House with no Republican support.

“It will take an enormous effort to build broader public support” for another bank rescue plan, said Thomas Mann, a congressional scholar at the Brookings Institution in Washington. “Had the stimulus gone through swimmingly it would have made it easier.”

Geithner’s Speech

New steps to be outlined this week by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will include fresh capital injections into banks and ways to deal with toxic securities still on their balance sheets, according to people familiar with the matter. FULL STORY.

Oklahoma Republican state Sen. Randy Brogdon NEW YORK – As the Obama administration attempts to push through Congress a nearly $1 trillion deficit spending plan that is weighted heavily toward advancing typically Democratic-supported social welfare programs, a rebellion against the growing dominance of federal control is beginning to spread at the state level.

So far, eight states have introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendment to the Constitution, including Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Washington.

"Congress is completely out of line spending trillions of dollars over the last 10 years putting the nation into a debt crisis like we've never seen before," Brogdon said, arguing that the Obama stimulus plan is the last straw taxing state patience in the brewing sovereignty dispute. FULL STORY.

Congressman Dennis Kucinch - Bank bailouts are an unprecedented fraud

By: D. H. Williams @ 10:34 PM - EST
America continues to be fleeced by big business and politicians from Harry Reid to John McCain and Barack Obama. Both parties are eager to give billions in your money to the financial interests who support them in return. FULL STORY.

The Truth About The Bankers Bailouts!

Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Pennsylvania) - January 31, 2009 CNN Washington Journal

Rep. Kanjorski admits Congress was told that the end of the banking system and political system as we know it was at hand if they didn't approve the $700 billion TARP, and that Congress is not filled with financial geniuses...but we knew that already, didn't we?

Or, we could have let the Corrupt Bad Banks go bankrupt, let the economy cleanse itself, GET RID OF THE FED, and by the end of 2009 be on our way to recovery.

Had Rep. Kanjorski and the rest of Congress answered our First Amendment Petition of Redress Regarding the Federal Reserve back in 2002, we would not be going through this today.

Not only did the entire United States Congress thumb their noses at us, We The People in 2002, but they did it again in June of 2007 when we served the Petitions for Redress AGAIN.

So what does this mean for you and me?

Video of Dallas Fed President, Richard Fisher, States Current Liability of US Government is $88 Trillion - February 2, 2009

On a C-span interview, Richard Fisher, the President and CEO of the Dallas Federal Reserve claims that the current, long-term unfunded liabilities of the US Government is 88 Trillion dollars.

Yes, that is $88,000,000,000,000 in current long-term unfunded liabilites

(you know, details like Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid).

If you're having trouble coming to grips with this figure, we'll break it down for you:
Future liabilites $88.0 T (apprx. 300E6 Americans)
Current deficit $10.6 T
This years deficit $ 2.0 T
Sub-total $100.6 T
Since roughly 156.3 million pay fed taxes, the average DEBT owed per family of 4 is, wait for it....
$558,888.00 x 4 = $2,235,552.00 (per family of four)

Any doubts our government is ENSLAVING us?

Obama, Tax Evasion, and Double Standards

Is there one set of rules for Democrats and another for the common fools, Oops, I mean common folks?

Blogs Report, YOU decide.

January 31, 2009 by Mark Whittington

For an administration enamored with raising taxes, the Obama administration is replete with people who don't pay theirs. Treasury Secretary Geithner and Health and Human Services nominee Tom Daschle a
Obama, Tax Evasion, and Double Standards
re examples.

First there was the problem that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner created for himself while working at the International Monetary Fund between 2001 and 2004. Geithner was considered self employed at that time and was thus required to pay taxes for his social security and Medicare which he failed to do. An IRS audit that took place in 2006 uncovered Geithner's nonpayment of self employment taxes for the years 2003 and 2004. Geithner took care of the problem by duly paying the back taxes with interest and penalties. FULL STORY.

Obama appointments erode public trust

President Obama was elected in part due to his outstanding character. He rightly called egregious Wall Street bonuses "shameful." However, the flawed character of two of his appointees call into question his judgment of people.

Timothy Geithner and Tom Daschle had serious unpaid taxes until just before their names were submitted, respectively, for secretary of the treasury and secretary of health and human services. Then their past-due taxes were paid, apparently with no serious consequences. FULL STORY.

Obama Administration Tax Dodgers: Is Solis Up to the Standard?

By Robert Schlesinger, Thomas Jefferson Street blog

The husband of labor secretary-designate Hilda Solis recently had to pay $6,400 to settle tax liens. This raises a grave question in my mind about the Solis nomination: Only $6,400? I'm really not sure that meets the standard that Obama nominees like Timothy Geithner ($34,000) and Tom Daschle ($128,000) set. Sure, Nancy Killefer's tax lien was under $1,000, but she was a subcabinet nominee. I suppose, though, that working-class tax dodgers do deserve representation in the cabinet as well ... FULL STORY.

No Robert Schiesinger, you know full well that those who are, as you call them, working class, don't get any help from tax dodging Democrats.

Obama said "I think I screwed up" over the Daschle nomination by sending a signal that powerful people could fail to pay taxes without serious consequences while ordinary people could not.

TWIN LAKE — A Muskegon County man who gave seminars on how to avoid paying taxes has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud.

On Oct. 17, a federal jury in Grand Rapids convicted 38-year-old Daniel Doyle Benham of Twin Lake of four counts of tax evasion and one count of bankruptcy fraud.

U.S. District Judge Robert J. Jonker on Wednesday gave Benham four concurrent five-year sentences for tax convictions plus a consecutive year for the fake bankruptcy. FULL STORY.

WOW! Can I relate to what Coach is talking about in this article. Any time I talked about our "RIGHTS" or the "Constitution", I was treated as some type of sick and deranged person.

"OH, your one of those conspiracy theorist". Or "Well, you know, times have changed and the Constitution doesn't really address our society today. It really is an out dated document"

Really? When I ask this one question, I seem to get a blank stare and no answer.

"So, which one of the God Given, Constitutionally Protected Rights is out dated that you are willing to give up?"

By Coach Dave Daubenmire
February 5, 2009

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” --Declaration of Independence July 4, 1176.

Duty- “Something that one is expected or required to do by moral or legal obligation.”

Rights- “Something that is due to a person or governmental body by law, tradition, or nature.”

We hear a lot these days about our “rights”, but we hear very little about our “duties.” Duty is not the same as rights. If there is any hope to the saving of our Republic it is time that we once again began to talk about our duties.

Let me say right up front folks that this is serious stuff. There are things going on in America that most people do not want to believe. In fact, whenever you hear someone bring up some of the things I am going to talk about the immediate reaction by most is to try and marginalize anyone who would insinuate such radical stuff.

“You are too black-helicopter for me, Coach. I don’t buy into the whole conspiracy nonsense that you hear from the lunatic fringe. You would better spend your time just preaching the Gospel.” FULL STORY.

Obama Admits 'Mistake' in Handling of Daschle Nomination

This was not a "MISTAKE", this was a huge slap in the face to every American. If Daschle wasn't an elite politician, if Daschle was one of us common folks, he would be facing Criminal Charges in Federal Court where due process and a defense doesn't exist.

Obama Admits 'Mistake' in Handling of Daschle Nomination
FOXNews - 59 minutes ago
President Obama tells FOX News he takes responsibility for the handling of Tom Daschle's Cabinet nomination; he also says he's standing firm on a Feb. 16 deadline for the economic stimulus.

David Beito has brought to light a remarkable and previously unknown chapter of the Great Depression: its tax revolts. They were widespread and systematic, and they made such huge progress in some places that they threatened to bring local and state government to its knees.

Continuing The Revolution: Peacefully Restoring Constitutional Order

The Government refuses to provide Redress to the People's First Amendment Petitions for violations of the Constitution

The U.S. Government has abandoned
the Rule of Law as defined by the People
via the Constitution.

The numerous crises currently confronting our Republic are not the result of poor political policies. These evils are the direct result of decades of violations of the U.S. Constitution by our servant Government.

In defiance of the natural Sovereignty of the People,
the Government has steadfastly, and repeatedly, ignored the Petitions of the People seeking Redress for these most egregious violations of their Fundamental Rights and cherished Freedoms.

The tide of history is upon us. Our Liberty may soon be forever lost unless the People rise quickly, peacefully and forcefully to restore Constitutional Order to the Republic.

Thankfully, our Founders left us a powerful, but little-known weapon in the Law to peacefully secure Redress without relying upon fixed elections, corrupted courts or resorting to the exercise of the Right of Revolution embodied by the Second Amendment.

It's time to get organized and exercise this profound Constitutionally protected Right.

Ron Paul On Fox, Gold Standard Returns?

Ron Paul was interviewed by David Asman on FOX Business Channel on Friday. They discussed the possibility of returning to some form of gold standard.

Ron Paul argued for competing currencies backed by gold or silver. He makes a point to say the currencies should not be controlled or mandated by any government. The idea is that rather than returning to a gold standard or sound money instantly, a more stable method would be to legalize competing currencies and eventually the fiat money would fall out of favor.

Watch the discussion below.

Anne Wortham is an individualist liberal who happens to be black and American.

I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician.

So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of the president of the United States, the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over – and that Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America. Shout your glee Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to – Do Something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine – what little there is left – for the chance to feel good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.

Facebook founder finally finds a way to profit from its 150m members' private data

Networking site cashes in on friends
Facebook is planning to exploit the vast amount of personal information it holds on its 150m members by creating one of the world's largest market research databases.

In an attempt to finally monetise the social networking site, once valued at $15bn (£10.4bn), it will soon allow multinational companies to selectively target its members in order to research the appeal of new products. Companies will be able to pose questions to specially selected members based on such intimate details as whether they are single or married and even whether they are gay or straight.

The company, which has struggled to make money from advertising, has been demonstrating the benefits of its new instant polling tool to some of the most influential business leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook's global markets director and sister of founder Mark Zuckerberg, 24, said multinational companies had been bowled over by the ability to receive real-time feedback from the site's millions of users. FULL STORY.

Bill creates detention camps in U.S. for 'emergencies

Sweeping, undefined purpose raises worries about military police state

By Jerome R. Corsi
© 2009 WorldNetDaily

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla.

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations.

The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany.

Heed the warning of a former Hitler Youth who sees America on the same path as pre-Nazi Germany in "Defeating the Totalitarian Lie" from WND Books!

The bill also appears to expand the president's emergency power, much as the executive order signed by President Bush on May 9, 2007, that, as WND reported, gave the president the authority to declare an emergency and take over the direction of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments without even consulting Congress.
