Ron Paul: Inside Sources Told Me Fed Is Panicking At Mass Awakening

Appearing on The Alex Jones Show yesterday, Congressman Ron Paul revealed that through his inside sources he had learned that the people who control the Federal Reserve are panicking about the fact that Americans are waking up to the fact that the U.S. is controlled by the central bank. FULL STORY

Host Jones made reference to a recent Council on Foreign Relations speech by Trilateral Commission and regular Bilderberg attendee Zbigniew Brzezinski in which he warned that a “global political awakening,” in combination with infighting amongst the elite, was threatening to derail the move towards a one world government.

Bernanke Admits Printing $1.3 Trillion Out Of Thin Air

By The Coming Depression.Net

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke admitted the central bank created $1.3 trillion out of thin air to buy mortgage backed securities. This shocking admission came from the Joint Economic Committee hearing on Capital Hill last week. I was dumbfounded when I saw Bernanke shake his head in the affirmative as Representative Ron Paul said, “Well, where did you get the money? You created this money. So you did monetize debt, and that went into the banking system.” I was amazed he admitted this. I looked up the original hearing on C-Span to make sure the clip was not edited. It was not.

Texas Board of Education adopts new standards

Finally, our school children will start being taught the real history of this country instead of being brainwashed by the Progressive Communists who have taken over Education.

Today, by a 9-5 vote, the 15-member Texas Board of Education approved the standards, which call for greater focus on the Christian traditions of the founding fathers.

The new standards call for a greater focus on the Biblical and Christian traditions of the founding fathers. It also calls for the teaching of free market principles, how government taxation and regulation can serve as restrictions to private enterprise, and emphasizes the achievements of Republican leaders, including former President Ronald Reagan and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The new curriculum also states that the system of the U.S. government be called a "Constitutional Republic" rather than a "Democratic society." Additionally, it inserts a "Celebrate Freedom Week" during which Texas students will study the importance of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. FULL STORY

Rand Paul Turns Tables On Progressive Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow tried very hard to make Rand Paul out to be a racist because he doesn't believe the Federal Government should dictate to Privet Business.

MADDOW: Do you think that a private business has the right to say we don't serve black people?

PAUL: Well, I think it's interesting because the debate involves more than just that, because the debate also involves a lot of court cases with regard to the commerce clause. For example, right now, many states and many gun organizations are saying they have a right to carry a gun in a public restaurant because a public restaurant is not a private restaurant. Therefore, they have a right to carry their gun in there and that the restaurant has no right to have rules to their restaurant.

Detroit Michigan lawsuits: Family of 7-year-old girl killed during raid sue

May 19, 2010 (TopWireNews.com: - Law, press release)

Detroit, MI – The police raid on a family home on Sunday, May 16, 2010 that left a 7-year-old girl dead has lead to two lawsuits, according to CNN. It has also been reported by MSNBC that the Special Response Team that conducted the raid was being followed by A&E videographers who caught the entire incident on tape. The A&E team was filming for its series “The First 48,” a show chronicling the works of Detroit homicide detectives.

While police claim officers threw a flash grenade through the first-floor window of the two-family home and the officer’s gun discharged during a scuffle with the girl’s grandmother, the family’s attorney claims otherwise.

According to reports from MSNBC, the family’s attorney claims to have seen three to four minutes of a video of the raid. The lawyer claims the video shows an officer throwing the flash grenade into the home and then shooting into the home from the outside.

The little girl, Aiyana Jones, was severely burned by the grenade before she was shot. She was reportedly sleeping on the couch at the time of the raid.

A&E denied a request from the Associated Press for the footage and a spokesman for the company said no one was going to comment on the case. FULL STORY

Why is it that when an intelligent, articulate, woman steps up to run for office, we have to ask her silly questions about the color of her skin and the party she's running under.

Why not just listen to the message Princella Smith has and why she is willing to go to Washington DC? If Princella Smith was campaigning in my district, I would love to meet with her and if she was the best candidate, support and vote for her. Isn't that all that really matters?

Lawyer questions police version of raid that killed girl

(CNN) -- An attorney representing the family of a 7-year-old girl shot to death Sunday in a police raid is accusing the Detroit Police Department of misrepresenting the incident.

In an interview with CNN affiliate WDIV on Monday, Michigan attorney Geoffrey Fieger said he obtained video footage of the incident captured by a crew filming for the A&E network show, "The First 48."

Fieger, who didn't say how he received the tape, said it shows officers rushing the home and throwing a flash grenade through a window before one officer fires into the home from the front porch. FULL STORY

Just Collateral Damage? Crime show taped Detroit raid that led to 7-year-old's death

Is this what our society is coming to? Just one big REALITY SHOW? We are now allowing the Film Industry to make Jennifer Granholm's new film industry stimulus money turn RAMBO stars out of our local police, and if our children get shot, oh well, the police were just "EXCITED ABOUT BEING ON TV"?

My heart goes out to Aiyana Jones's family. They are far better people than I. You see, I do believe that these police officers are monsters. They get paid by the people of Detroit to keep them safe, not shot helpless 7 year old girls in their sleep. Not to put on a show for movie cameras.

What would little Aiyana have grown up to be? Well never know what her aspirations would have been. This bright eyed, adorable little 7 year old had her life ended because some police officer was excited about being on TV, entered the wrong apartment with gun drawn and shooting. Do we just shrug and tell ourselves it's OK, Aiyana is just Collateral Damage, because we as Americans love Holywood?

Who ever authorized this 'reality crime show' should not only be fired, but prosecuted right along with the officer who shot little Aiyana, as an accomplice.

George Hunter and Paul Egan / The Detroit News

Detroit -- An attorney representing the family of a 7-year-old girl shot to death during a Sunday morning raid says the family knows the Detroit police officer who fired the fatal shot is "not a monster" but said the police operation was flawed and influenced by TV production concerns.

The police "were excited; they were on TV," said Oak Park attorney Karri Mitchell, who is representing the family of Aiyana Jones. "They didn't have to throw a grenade through the front window when they knew there were children in there."

The attempted arrest of a murder suspect at a two-unit house on Lillibridge on the city's east side was videotaped for an episode of "The First 48," a reality crime show on the Arts & Entertainment Network, said Detroit police spokesman John Roach. FULL STORY

And this just in. The Warren Police Department is having the schools hand out fliers inviting you to have your children fingerprinted, voice printed, photographed (mug shots) and more. It's being advertised as "A DAY OF FUN with the cops." Isn't that special. Little Aiyana Jones had a "DAY OF FUN WITH THE COPS", she's dead.

Lets see, if you have your child fingerprinted, voice printed, and photographed now, it will be that much easier to convict them latter if they should try pot. Isn't that special.

Thousands of non-profits, many in Michigan, could lose tax-exempt status

Hundreds of thousands of small non-profits, from Little League teams to community soup kitchens, could lose their tax-exempt status today because of an IRS filing requirement. In the Lansing area the list includes 4-H, quilting groups, firefighter associations and even the Boy Scouts.

The 2006 Pension Protection Act included a provision requiring all non-profits to file an annual return with the IRS.

Previously, non-profits with annual revenue of less than $25,000 were excluded. Non-profits that fail to file a return for three consecutive years lose their tax-exempt status. On May 17, the three-year clock runs out for non-profits that haven't filed a return since 2007. FULL STORY

Guilty verdict for Ohio cop who shot unarmed motorcyclist in back

We see more and more of this type of behavior from our police officers. Why? Is it the type of training that they receive? Is it the idea that every person they stop is guilty of a crime until proven innocent? Is it the AUTHORITY mentality that seems to exist today?

By David Edwards and Stephen Webster
Saturday, May 15th, 2010 -- 4:11 pm

Thanks to a jury in Ottawa Hills, Ohio, former police officer Thomas White is facing up to 11 years behind bars: plenty of time to think about the unarmed motorist he paralyzed with an unprovoked bullet more than one year ago.

After just six hours of deliberation, the jury found White guilty of felonious assault with a gun specification, according to WTOL CBS 11 in Toledo. Sentencing is scheduled for later in June.

Days earlier during the trial, a police dashboard video was played in court, depicting officer White pulling over two motorcyclists, one of them his unwitting victim, 24-year-old Michael McCloskey.

McCloskey and his companion sped away from an intersection as the officer pulled in behind them, leading White to believe the men were running from him. Though both men pulled over almost immediately, McCloskey apparently did not hear the officer's commands to put his hands up, instead turning slightly to face White while still atop his motorcycle.

Instead of repeating himself, White fired a round into his victim's back. FULL STORY

Gerald Celente: Liberals Lie The Conservatives Believe ...

THINK FOR YOURSELF

"The key to change lies in a conscious recognition of the automatic tendency to obey authority. If never put to the Milgram test, almost no one would imagine themselves willing to inflict pain upon a stranger just because another stranger in a position of “authority” gave the order.

A crucial consequence of the Milgram-style studies was that after the ordeal of the experiment was over and the participants were let in on its real purpose, they overwhelmingly expressed gratitude for the experience; a life-lesson to the hidden inner-self. If the “Great War” is to be averted, the inner-self must surface before the majority blindly follow political and military leaders’ orders to inflict pain and suffering on strangers. The future is in the hands of “The 20 Percent Club” — those who, through their own efforts, have freed themselves from the death sentence of the Milgram Effect.”"

"Here we are in 2012. Food riots, tax protests, farmer rebellions, student revolts, squatter digins, homeless uprisings, tent cities, ghost malls, general strikes, bossnappings, kidnappings, industrial saboteurs, gang warfare, mob rule, terror. How could it have come to this? Across the nation and around the world, it was a variation of the same theme. In the United States it was called “Obamageddon,” in the rest of the world it was “The Greatest Depression.” Did no one see it coming? Yes and no. There were intelligent, informed people who saw it. But for the most part they didn’t want to believe their eyes and didn’t want to hear it. They could do the math, but too terrified to face the big, bad ugly truth, they were afraid to add up the numbers.

If you didn’t see the future through rose-colored glasses, they called you names: “Gloom and Doomer.” A purveyor of “Pessimism Porn” sniggered The New York Times, deriding Gerald Celente’s forecasts because they lacked the obligatory happy ending. The same New York Times — who sold America the Iraq war, who denied America was heading for recession until it became “official,” who relentlessly parroted the party line — like so many of “the most trusted” names in news, were themselves insidious pushers of “Optimism Opium.” And for the most part Americans bought it. They got hooked on the recovery dream. Now, in 2012, the truth can no longer be evaded. Yet, in the midst of “The Greatest Depression,” folks still cling to the myth that the bottom fell out in ’08 when the “Panic” hit, and it’s been straight downhill ever since." HUTAREE suspects to be released on bail.

By Chuck Baldwin
May 14, 2010
NewsWithViews.com

With much media fanfare, 9 members of a Michigan militia were arrested last March and charged with "seditious conspiracy"--specifically, plotting to murder law enforcement officers. Ostensibly, this was supposed to precipitate some kind of wholesale revolt against the government. Question: Have any of you heard anyone from the propaganda press corps (national news media) tell you what has been happening with this case? No? Did you not wonder why? Well, I'll tell you why: the case has fallen apart.

"Even the judge who must decide whether to release the nine until trial was puzzled.

"'I share the frustrations of the defense team . . . that she doesn't know anything,' U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said after agent Leslie Larsen confessed she hadn't reviewed her notes recently and couldn't remember specific details of the case."

See the report here.

Can you believe testimony such as this was given in a court of law by a supposedly intelligent federal officer--an agent who had supposedly compiled the evidence that was used to arrest and incarcerate these supposedly "dangerous militia members"? If it wasn't so serious, this would be a joke! FULL STORY

For those not familiar with dealing with our Government employees in the Judicial branch, this is pretty standard for the clerk of the court to deny and defy their own procedures. This case will eventually go to a jury trial. My question is, will these nine people have an aware and fully informed jury, or will they have a hand picked puppet jury that will rubber stamp the Government's case for them?

Appeals Court: No emergency review to release Hutaree

From The Detroit News:
Paul Egan / The Detroit News

A federal appeals court says an "en banc review" is not available for a three-judge panel's order to keep nine Hutaree militia defendants behind bars pending a government appeal of an order to release them.

The clerk of the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals removed from the docket an emergency request defense lawyers made Wednesday for a review of the panel's order by all the judges of the 6th Circuit. That's known as an "en banc" review.

Richard Helfrick of the Federal Defender Office, who filed the emergency appeal request on behalf of all the defendants, said he thinks the clerk of the court is mistaken and has made a "hyper technical" reading of the court rules.

He said he mailed letters today to all 25 judges of the 6th Circuit asking that they carry out the en banc review. FULL STORY

School Union Brags of Ballot Box Revenge Against Outsourcing

This story is a very good example of what Michigan, as well as other states face today. As the global economic meltdown is taking place, more jobs will be lost and less money will be coming in to support the state, counties, cities, townships, and schools.

Right now, the only way that our schools can survive is to make cuts. They are starting with the lowest people in the pecking order which are custodians. By outsourcing with a private company the school district can save a lot of money that otherwise would be spent on employee benefits. Benefits that in the long run are UNSUSTAINABLE unless you keep raising taxes.

The truth is, we have more UNION PUBLIC EMPLOYEES than we have private working employees. So, when you go to the ballot box, make sure you know who and what you are voting for. Paul Mayers was not only a school custodian, he was also a former union president. His claim that this is a "victory for the working class", should send chills down your spine.

Paul Mayers has never in his life been among the "WORKING CLASS" that has gone out and risked everything to be self-employees. He has never jumped through the hoops of regulations to start a small business. He knows nothing of what it's like to have to support a start up business and a family at the same time. Paul Mayers has never had to pay 100% of his health care and 90% of our public employees at the same time. Paul Mayers had never had to squeeze every dime to try and put something away for emergencies or a retirement while paying in 50% for public employees at the same time.

Maybe sitting on the Durand Public School Board will teach Mr. Mayers something about economics, or maybe not. Time will tell.
By TOM GANTERT | May 12, 2010
Last year, Paul Mayers was a school custodian employed by the Durand Area Public Schools. But in December, Mayers' job was outsourced to PCMI, which hired him back at the same salary wage but reduced benefits.
This month, Mayers ran for the school board and won. He takes office July 1.
His victory sets up an interesting scenario involving unions and their opposition to outsourcing at public schools.
Does Mayers, a former union president, move to try to get his new board members to restore his old job, even though the school administration claims the move to privatize the cooks and custodial staff saved the district $190,000?
Mayers didn't respond to messages left at the school for him.
The Michigan Education Association says Mayers' victory is an example of voters supporting union-backed candidates.
The MEA's press release read: "In Durand, a school custodian whose job was outsourced to a private company in December, won a contested school board election. Paul Mayers, a former union president who now works for the private company, is one of two union-supported candidates who won in Durand." FULL STORY

Michigan State Police investigating Muskegon Heights Police Department about possible missing money

Here we go again. I keep hearing from all over the state that we can't cut police. Who will protect us. That's a good question. Who is going to protect us when we don't have honest people working for us to begin with.

Remember back in February when this story broke? So why are we footing the bill for wages, health care and pensions again? Oh, right, these crooks keep us safe.

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS  — An investigation of the Muskegon Heights Police Department is under way concerning possible missing money from a property room.

Authorities from the Michigan State Police, Grand Rapids headquarters, said its detectives are “conducting an investigation involving the Muskegon Heights Police Department.”

Authorities say the police department’s then-Acting Police Chief Ron Rake requested in March that the department be investigated.

“The MSP began an audit of some possible discrepancies into monies received by the Muskegon Heights Police Department,” a press release stated. “As a result of the ongoing audit, detectives believe that monies are missing from the property room of the police department.”

State police authorities say no more information will be released at this time because “it is important to safeguard the integrity of the investigative process to ensure a fair and impartial gathering of facts surrounding the investigation.” FULL STORY

Investigators: Obama using Connecticut Soc. Sec. Number

U.S. President Barack Obama waves as he leaves after dinner at Komi restaurant in Washington
Two private investigators working independently are asking why President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in the state.
In addition, the records indicate the number was issued between 1977 and 1979, yet Obama's earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, Hawaii.

WND has copies of affidavits filed separately in a presidential eligibility lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia by Ohio licensedprivate investigator Susan Daniels and Coloradoprivate investigator John N. Sampson.

The investigators believe Obama needs to explain why he is using a Social Security number reserved for Connecticut applicants that was issued at a date later than he is known to have held employment.

Activists stunning Republican platform win...

In what can only be seen as quite an impressive development a coalition of Ron Paul supporters and social conservatives have had their platform voted in at the Maine Republican Party Convention . The organization and effectiveness of this effort is quite frankly stunning. Due to a lack of organization and foot dragging the platform committee of the Maine Republican Party was blindsided by this effort.

The effect it will have on Maine politics could be quite epic in scope. It has certainly stunned the Republican Party Establishment and the Maine media.

It remains to be seen whether or not this will help or hurt the Republican Party of Maine. The writers of this platform seem to believe that all conservatives in Maine are of the social variety. Or rather they hope that those concerned with social conservatives aspect of the platform will ignore these concerns for the overall theme of the document.

You can read the whole thing here (paintmainered.ning.com/forum/topic/show) and decide for yourself.

Its certainly going to make politics in Maine a far more interesting thing than has been of late. Its tossed a hand grenade of epic proportions into the Republican Party of Maine. We have no idea who the casualties are going to be. FULL STORY

Greek Crisis Turns Deadly Serious; Will the World's Governments Learn from It?

My question is, 'Will our humble PUBLIC EMPLOYEES and their UNIONS learn from it. Read the Money and Markets news letter I received this morning, then read the next article about how the MEA - Michigan Education Association, (Michigan Teachers Union) expects us to bail them out for their losses in the market. Is what's going on in Greece what we have to look forward to here? Sooner or later we are going to have to face the fact that we CITIZENS can no longer keep our GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES in such fine lifestyles.

by Mike Larson

This week, the financial crisis in Greece turned deadly serious. No longer are investors just losing boatloads of money. People are starting to lose their lives!

The latest bout of chaos struck on Wednesday during a general strike. Everyone from air traffic controllers to teachers left their posts. Tens of thousands of protestors hit the streets, hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails. Three people reportedly died in a fire that struck an Athens bank branch.

So what's provoking the madness?

It's the stiff austerity measures the rest of the European Union and the International Monetary Fund want Greece to enact. Officials are forcing Greece to slash public sector wages, freeze pensions and boost taxes before they'll start disbursing the $143 billion in bailout money. FULL STORY

MEA-owned insurance carrier using rate hikes to replenish coffers?

WOW!!! What a deal for the Teachers Union. Let me see, WE paid into their retirement fund and WE paid for their insurance, and WE pay their salaries. Now because MESSA, the NEA Teachers Union lost money in the market, we get to cover their losses for them???

MESSA loses millions through bad investments, pension costs
Now it all makes sense.

We admit we were a bit astounded a few weeks ago, when we discovered that school districts throughout the state were again being hit with double-digit insurance rate increases by MESSA.

Of course rate increases are nothing new for MESSA, but we half expected the MEA-owned insurance giant to employ a bit of political savvy (and mercy) this year and take it easy on client districts, given their fragile financial condition.

Then we got our hands on MESSA's latest state financial statement, and the lights came on. It seems MESSA is dealing with its own financial dilemma – a loss of more than $100 million in its fund reserve due to bad investments and growing pension liabilities.

Last year MESSA reported having a fund reserve of $365 million, and the statewide average of its rate increase for schools was somewhere around six percent. But this year MESSA's fund reserve has dwindled to a measly $259.5 million, and the average increase is expected to be 13.3 percent.

According to state records, MESSA's outside investments lost $46 million in value over the past year, and it had to contribute an unusually high $64 million to its employee pension fund.

MESSA officials are eager to replace that money, and they're clearly doing it on the backs of the schools and taxpayers, according to Frank Webster, a former MESSA executive director. After all, how could MESSA, a non-profit agency, survive with only $259 million in the bank?

"You can be sure that MESSA will have rates that will recover what they lost during the recession," Webster wrote in recent summary of MESSA tactics. "They will do the best they can do to make it all up.

"Many American companies would like to make up for the recession losses, and MESSA is one that has - thanks to the Michigan taxpayers. It has a license to steal from taxpayers!"

None of this would be so bad if schools weren’t in such miserable financial shape to start with. The MEA says it cares about our schools, then allows its pet insurance company to raid district coffers. To those who argue that that the MEA isn't involved, we would remind them that many of the same people who run the MEA sit on the MESSA board.

And it wouldn't be so bad if schools, like normal consumers, were allowed to turn to the free marketplace for less expensive coverage. But as we all know, state law continues to make health insurance a topic of collective bargaining, and local unions continue to insist on MESSA coverage.

It's ironic now to picture Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, protesting last month outside a meeting of insurance company executives in Washington, D.C. Weingarten called them criminals and said they should be arrested for the high rates they charge American consumers.

We wonder what Weingarten would say about MESSA, a big, fat, greedy insurance company owned by her union brothers and sisters? FULL STORY

Another Reason Why We Need Fully Informed Juries

The article and videos below should be a RED FLAG to any peace loving American Citizen. It should also re-enforce why people should always demand a trial by jury and not take the prosecutor's plea bargain. Both cases below were nothing more than possession, a misdemeanor in Michigan.

Derek Copp, the Grand Valley student was under investigation because of this photo posted on the internet, on Derek's social networking site. I guess if you look close and know what you are looking at, there is a BLUE BONG (whatever that is) behind him. Enough evidence for police to show up at 9pm with a warrant and shoot him.

Now ask yourself one question. Why is it that these warrants are always served at night under cover of darkness. Couldn't the police have just as easily gone during the day and called Derek out of class and served the warrant?

How about the family in Missouri? You see that it's dark. Would your dog bark if someone broke down your door and entered your house screaming and yelling? Where is PITA on this one. They should be all over this event.

How about the children there. Will they ever get over the trauma of having the police, the very people that they are taught to trust, bust into their home, shoot their dog, and arrest their father. Where are the children now? Child protective custody? Wards of the state. And we wonder why our kids are so messed up today?

And all because they got a tip that the father bought some marijuana. He wasn't a drug dealer and more than the Grand Valley student.

I hear people every day say well, we need these laws to keep our children from using drugs. Well, making marijuana illegal isn't going to stop your kids from smoking it any more than it did you.

What this law will do is make your child a criminal, have a record that will follow them the rest of their life, put them into the criminal justice system that they may never be able to exit out of because of the greedy probation officers who need them for job security. And it could also get them shot like the Grand Valley student.

So what's safer, keeping POT illegal, or legalize the stuff and save lives and a whole lot of our tax dollars being spent on this type of enforcement?

One other thing I forgot to mention, by legalizing Marijuana, you will also get rid of the drug dealers who are dangerous people from your neighborhoods. More people will be able to grow their own and will put the dealers out of business.

It's your choice, but at least now you can see the reality of how this law is being enforced.

The jurors have the power to ignore the court's instructions and bring in a not guilty verdict contrary to the law and the facts. Horning v. District of Columbia, 254 U.S. 135, 138 (1920).

Drug War is a Real War–on American Citizens

This will be very disturbing. It should be. I'm posting this so that people will see what they are supporting when they support the war on drugs. Think this can't happen in your neighborhood? Then read the story below about the Grand Valley student who was shot a year ago. Derek Copp posed no threat to the SWAT task force either. Now is the time for everyone to rethink their position on marijuana.

In the failed War on Drugs, instead of “To Serve and Protect” it’s “To Serve a Warrant and Shoot the Family Pets.” One of the latest is this video where the father of the family got charged with

possession of marijauna.

The Feds don’t enforce immigration laws against foreigners here illegally, but they’ll break down the door of a family in the middle of the night and shoot their corgi?

Maybe, “SWAT Teams Gone Wild”?

No wonder, fewer and fewer Americans have respect for the law. They see Cabinet officials get away with not paying taxes; with illegals breaking the law which the federal government won’t enforce; and, generous taxpayer, federal funding to turn the police forces of small towns into para-military S.W.A.T. teams to bust families in the middle of the night for marijuana possession.

It’s contemptible and it has lead to more crime: mostly, that of turning everyday Americans into shootable perps. To what end–other than the adrenaline rush that only breaking down the door of a family and pretending they’re combating crime brings?

Not every cop is a latent facist. But almost all gun-toting thrill-seeking fascists are cops.

Police officials wonder why an increasing amount of people fear any contact with the police.

Watching the video inspires, not respect for the police, but utter contempt, particularly for the methods employed. And not only for the police shooting family pets, but for their enablers in the court system that make these daily outrages possible. FULL STORY

ALLENDALE -- Apartment neighbors of Grand Valley State University student Derek Copp say they cannot fathom what prompted police to shoot him late Wednesday in a drug-related raid.

The 20-year-old student was in serious condition at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.
Copp, a Spring Arbor native, has been at GVSU since 2007, the same year he graduated from Jackson Community College, according to his page on Facebook. He identifies himself as "a left-wing hippie peace-keeping liberal," who is seeking a film and video degree. FULL STORY

Judge orders release of 9 Hutaree militia members

A federal judge in Detroit today ordered the release of nine members of a Lenawee County Christian militia group freed on bond over the objections of federal prosecutors.

“The United States is correct that it need not wait until people are killed before it arrests conspirators,” U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said in a 36-page decision. “But, the Defendants are also correct: their right to engage in hate-filled, venomous speech, is a right that deserves First Amendment protection.”

She said federal prosecutors failed to persuade her that the defendants must be jailed until trial.

It is unclear whether the U.S. Attorney’s Office will appeal the decision.

"We will be reviewing and weighing all of our options," said spokeswoman Susan Plochinski of the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Roberts said the defendants could be freed under house arrest on electronic tethers. They must surrender their concealed weapons permits, cannot apply for a license to purchase or carry guns and cannot drink alcohol or take drugs.

She said they must continue to work and report to pretrial services on a weekly basis.

Robert said the defendants also must provide a list of names, addresses, and phone numbers for all Hutaree members and members of any other militia groups they associated with. FULL STORY

Mexico's illegals laws tougher than Arizona's

I guess this is as good a lead story today as it ties right into the two below. The US ICE Attorney who was just convicted, and you have to read all the charges, and the Message from the Vietnam Vet.
It's OK with our government and half of the American Population to allow our country to be invaded by a bunch of welfare sucking ILLEGALS, but don't try to illegally enter Mexico.

But the legislation, signed April 23 by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, is similar to Reglamento de la Ley General de Poblacion — the General Law on Population enacted in Mexico in April 2000, which mandates that federal, local and municipal police cooperate with federal immigration authorities in that country in the arrests of illegal immigrants.

Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals.

The law also says Mexico can deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," violate Mexican law, are not "physically or mentally healthy" or lack the "necessary funds for their sustenance" and for their dependents. FULL STORY

Jury Convicts Immigration Attorney of Taking Bribes

I guess the fact that these Federal Employees of ours, who we are FORCED to pay high wages to, under duress and threat of imprisonment, cover their health care, pay into their pension for them, don't think it's enough.

A senior attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was found guilty yesterday of three dozen corruption-related charges for taking a series of bribes from immigrants who were seeking documentation to remain in the United States.

ICE Assistant Chief Counsel Constantine Peter Kallas, 39, of Alta Loma, was convicted by a federal jury following a three-week trial.

The jury found Kallas guilty of conspiracy, six counts of bribery, two counts of obstruction of justice, seven counts of fraud and misuse of entry documents, three counts of aggravated identity theft, nine counts of making false statements to the Department of Labor, four counts of making false statements to obtain federal employee compensation, and four counts of tax evasion.

“Mr. Kallas was a corrupt government official who abused his position of trust to line his own pockets,” U.S. Attorney André Birotte Jr. of the Central District of California said. “This case should serve as a warning to any public official who might consider trading a quick buck for illegal acts that making this trade could send them to prison.”

Kallas has been in a federal jail since August 2008, about two months after he was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland, where he and his wife, Maria, allegedly accepted a bribe from an immigrant. The June 2008 bribe was said to be the last in a series of incidents in which Kallas and his wife told illegal aliens that Kallas was an immigration official and could obtain immigration benefits in exchange for bribes of up to $20,000.
