Traverse City -- Investigators say a Michigan man who as a court referee presided over child abuse and neglect cases had pictures of nude, underage girls in a briefcase under his courthouse desk.
Fifty-three-year-old Dennis Mikko has been charged with possessing sexually abusive material involving children. He was expected to surrender to authorities Wednesday for arraignment on five felony charges.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports investigators do not believe Mikko had any inappropriate contact with children through his court position.

He resigned as a family division referee with the 13th Circuit Court on Aug. 21. He has overseen cases in Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Antrim counties since 1997. Full story
